Stockbridge Community Church desires to offer you an Opportunity for a Better Life through the love of Jesus Christ. We offer three worship services on Sunday mornings. You can enjoy today’s music and a relevant message each week in a casual and comfortable atmosphere.
Stockbridge Community Church was established in 1978 in a rented convenience store at College Street and Main Street in Forest Park, GA.
In the early 80s, the congregation purchased and renovated house on College Street and North Avenue to establish an official church building.
On April 9, 1995, Jeff Daws and his family moved to Forest Park to begin his ministry as the lead pastor to about 70 people in the established church. After two years, it became evident that a move would have to accommodate the growing congregation. A church in Rex, GA, was coming available, and history would be written. Two congregations would merge to become the Rex Church of God in April of 1997. Still, after moving into modular buildings for educational space and extending parking, the church became landlocked and needed to expand even more.
After just a few short months on the market, the church sold and the congregation moved to Stockbridge Middle School and officially became Stockbridge Community Church in early May of 2001. Groundbreaking for the new building would take place on September 9, 2001, on Highway 155. The congregation would remain in the school for two years.
On June 1, 2003, SCC moved to its current home at 4401 Highway 155. And in 2019, we completed a major expansion and remodel of our current facility, nearly doubling its size.
We exist to offer people an Opportunity for a Better Life through the Love of Jesus Christ.
This is accomplished as we encourage people to:

Pastor Jeff and Rhonda Daws began their ministry as lead pastors in 1995. They began with a small congregation in Forest Park, GA, and steadily grew it over the years to reach hundreds each week at their current location. They desire Stockbridge Community Church to be a place that has a relevant message and points people to the next steps in their faith.
